The difference between our Woven and Printed Blue Q Dish Towels:

Woven means the design is woven into the towel, there is no printing involved, only dyed fabrics.

Printed means the design is printed on top of the cotton fabric, similar to a t-shirt with a printed design.  Since the image is printed on the fabric, they're a little more stiff the first could times you use them, after a few washes they soften up.
