A visit to Mass Ave isn't complete without a photo op with our lovely dancing lady, Ann. Well, Ann needs some love in the form of maintenance and upgrades to keep her dancing for years to come. Find out how to help "Keep Ann Dancing" during the month of June!
Ann Dancing by Julian Opie was the first piece of public art purchased for the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. Today, Ann dancing is more than 10 years old, dancing 24 hours a day, 365 days a year through sun, frost, rain, hail, snow and ice, she never stops swaying. Well, today Ann went dark. She will remain off through the month of June to bring awareness to the fundraising camp to keep her dancing for years to come. This campaign will culminate with a giant Ann Dancing Dance Party on Saturday June 29th.
At Silver in the City on Mass Ave, we've got Ann T-shirts, Totes, Buttons and Stickers all which help to raise money for Ann's maintenance fund. Rather click and shop, no problem, you can find her Merchandise online on her very own website keepanndancing.org
If you've enjoyed seeing Ann on your visits to Mass Ave, consider making a donation or buying some Ann swag to help support the Indianapolis Cultural Trail in their fundraising efforts for Ann.
