Danica Studio and Now Designs Goods Brightens Our Shelves with Vitality & Charm!
It might be the bright colors that catch attention. Or maybe it's the whimsy or the obvious attention to detail and high quality. Silver in the City has carried Danica Studio and Now Designs products for a long time because of all of these things and more.
The story of Danica Studio and Now Designs began in 1964 when Danica Imports launched with the idea of bringing professional quality elegant European kitchenware and textiles to American home kitchens. Now Designs began in 1967 San Francisco - smack dab in epicenter of the Summer of Love! - to design and create their own high quality linens. In 2004, Rodney Benson and Jeremy Braude brought them together to became a single home home décor design company with sophisticated style. Working together, a group of designers at build on those decades of experience in textiles and created a contemporary labor of love: Danica Studio. Together, they create exclusive and unique home and living décor collections of the highest quality.
Their mission is to strive to be the company you keep by providing design, products, and service with integrity. They're a small company that thinks big. Nine talented designers and their dogs sketch, paint, illustrate, photograph, and argue over the merits of various Canadian indie bands of the '90s, all while generating an absurd amount of output. The studio collaborates on all of the designs and works together on every detail.
In the meantime, they've worked to be a role model of corporate responsibility, donating profits to Education Without Borders, being proud alumni of the Climate Smart program, building community through philanthropy, and sourcing materials and labor with the highest levels of integrity.
Check out the collection. Prepare to be charmed.
