For plant lovers from beginner to experienced, air plants add the sweetest pop of life in all spaces.
Most air plants comes to you around 4″ give or take, each plant is a little different.
Give these plants a good saturation once a week by submerging the base of the plant (where the root ball is) under water for 1-2 mins. Turn upside down and shake off the excess water and let dry. If base of plant feels hollow it needs more water if base of plant feels hard and sturdy it is healthy. Brown tips are also a good indicator that you need to add a weekly misting to your watering cycle. Depending on humidity level, your air plant might need watered longer. Dryer homes = 2-3 minutes longer watering.
Air plants come from tropical climates, when you are placing them around. They'll love you forever in bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms with baths attached, anywhere near a water source. That doesn't mean they should exclusively be in those areas, just keep an eye on them wherever their new home is and water as needed.
Turquoise and Purple air plants have organic enhancement dying. Their color will last as long as an average color change of an air plant, 1-2 months minimum if not longer.
Most of these bloom in perfect conditions, blooms will last 1-2 weeks. Never get blooms wet as that can shorten their life. Air plants do grow but in a slower place similar to succulents, new growth will come from the center.
